Choosing the Right Firearm
If you don't have a firearm and are unsure which firearm to purchase, then this is the training class for you.
In this training we bring several different types of firearms to the training location for you to handle and discover what firearm is best for you. Not everyone likes the same type of gun and not every gun is the right fit for everyone. That is why you need to make an informed decision on which gun is best for your needs. After you purchase your first firearm, you can always purchase another one for a different type of use or need.
In this training we bring AR15s, Shotguns, and different sizes and types of handguns. We provide the ammunition and teach you how to fire each one. We also bring out some holsters to show you the different ways you can conceal or carry a firearm.
We discuss the benefits and hinderances of each gun and why you may choose one gun over another one.
This class is mainly designed as a private lesson but can be a class lesson if we have more people that show interest in attending the class.

Concealed Carry
If you are going to carry a firearm on your person for Concealed Carry, then you are required to take a training course. It does not have to be a Concealed Training Course according to Colorado State Law. It would be best to take a Concealed Training Course designed for concealed carry in the State of Colorado.
Colorado State Law does not require you to own or have ever shot a firearm to obtain a Concealed Carry Permit.
At the Vail Shooting Academy, we believe you should take a Concealed Carry Class that covers Colorado State Laws concerning concealed carry AND that you should know how to safely and effectively carry and shoot a firearm. Our class includes classrooms and live fire training. If you don't have a handgun, you can sit through the live fire training and still learn valuable information on live firing a handgun in self defense situations.
This is normally a group lesson to keep the cost low ($75), but we can do it as a private lesson also. Email, call, or text for options if you have any questions.
